Located on the mighty Snake River, Massacre Rocks State Park is rich in history and full of year-round recreation. Miles of hiking trails provide access to a bounty of plant and bird species, Oregon Trail history and geologic wonders. Rock climbers enjoy numerous climbing routes and a world-class disc golf course offers golfers one of the most challenges courses in Idaho. A scenic picnic area surrounds Register Rock, where emigrant name are inscribed, creating a desert oasis for the modern traveler. Remnants of the Oregon Trail are easily seen from either end of the park.

- The entrance fee to all of Idaho’s State Parks is $7.00 per car, with additional fees for camping.
- Reservations for stays (campsites, cabins, etc.) within Idaho's State Parks can be made toll-free by phone at: 1-888-922-6743 or online.
- Pets are welcome in most Idaho State Parks, but some parks prohibit them in some cabins and yurts and they are prohibited on beaches.
