The Nez Perce (Nee-Mee-Poo) National Historic Trail features important historical and cultural points of interest across Oregon, Idaho and into Montana. This route follows the 1877 path of the Nez Perce people as they fled U.S. military forces. Visitors can start on the trail from the Nez Perce National Historical Park Visitor Center near Lewiston and explore sites like as the Weippe Prairie and Tolo Lake.
