How can Idaho keep the best jobs in state, if we don’t have the qualified employees here to fill them?

When Idaho schools don’t produce enough highly skilled employees, our companies cannot recruit in-state for the talent needed to operate or grow businesses.

In order to strengthen, innovate, grow, and deliver solutions; and also create more opportunities, jobs, and better wages – companies need good employees. Good employees have the skills that enable them to succeed in the workforce. These range from interpersonal skills, management skills, tech skills, creative thinking, and problem-solving.

Bottom line? When Idaho kids aren’t learning career skills, Idaho companies must look elsewhere for employees.

Where could our state be if academia connected with industry to make sure Idahoans are well equipped with relevant career skills?
